8 January: London Winter League 3.
By 13 January: Selection of the final squad.
28 January: First training. Big social in the evening.

February
6 February: London Winter League 4.
19 February: Training (with fitness instructor)

Dates and some of the venues for the major 2012 tournaments have been announced:

UKU Open Tour Series:

26/27 May 2012 – Tour 1, London
23/24 June 2012 – Tour 2, Nottingham
28/29 July 2012 – Tour 3, venue TBC

UKU National Championship Series:

4/5 August 2012 – Regionals, venue TBC
25-27 August 2012 – UKU Nationals, Southampton

2012 Tiger Trials

After finishing 7th at the last two UK Nationals, Tooting Tigers are planning on stepping it up to work towards qualifying to EUCF. To achieve this we are changing the way we train and prepare for the season, bringing a much more focused and intense approach. We are looking for talented players who want to work as hard as possible with us throughout the year. We’re particularly interested in young athletic players keen to develop their skills, or players who want to bring their talent and experience to our club.

The Tigers will be holding a training day on Sunday 13 November in Balham, to bring everyone together again after the autumn break and meet all the new players interested in joining our club. If you can’t make the 13th but would still like to tryout and play Winter League with us then please get in touch anyway as we would love to hear from you.

Selection will be based on that training day and performance at the three London Winter League events (20 November, 11 December, and 8 January) where we are planning on entering two teams in each event. A final squad will be picked by the end of January.

2012 Leadership Announced

Tooting Tigers are pleased to announce that Adriano Scarampi will lead the team as captain for the upcoming 2012 season. Adriano will be supported by two vice-captains, Dave Misstear and James Jagger.
